Hais Design was created by Architect and Interior Designer duo Hannah You and Isabel McDonough.

After working together for an Award Winning Property Developer and Builder, Hannah and Isabel teamed up to provide a full service design solution, inside and out.

With over 17 years combined experience and having both worked at major national design firms, Hannah and Isabel have experience leading projects from concept to construction.

With their unique understanding of client and consultant perspectives, and their in-depth construction knowledge, they bring a practical methodology toward meaningful and memorable designs.

Hais pride themselves on their ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors resulting in fluid processes and successful built experiences.

They service projects ranging from Residential, Multi-residential, Commercial, Retail and Hospitality.

    Specialising in multi-residential Architecture Hannah has over 10 years experience in Brisbane.

    She has worked at multi-award winning design firms and a prominent property developer in leadership positions.

    She has worked on single and attached dwellings, low and high rise residential towers, aged care, student accommodation, master-planned communities, hotels and townhouses. She assisted in establishing the national townhouse standards for architecture firm Rothelowman.

    In addition to her multi-residential work, Hannah has experience in the commercial, educational, and hospitality sectors.

    She is also passionate about the Architectural and property industry - mentoring and tutoring emerging Architects and serving on industry committees for the UDIA and ULI. Most notably she founded the QLD Women's Leadership Initiative with the Urban Land Institute.

  • INTERIOR DESIGNER

    Isabel has over 7 years experience in delivering high-quality, innovative and engaging spaces that complement the architectural intent of a project.

    In not subscribing to one particular aesthetic, Isabel is able to tailor a project towards each individual client or group's needs.

    She spent 5 years working for multi-award winning design firm Cottee Parker Architects which afforded her diverse experience across multi-residential, hospitality, retail, and aged care sectors. She then made the move to Cavcorp to hone both her design skills and construction knowledge, and has gained a unique understanding of how to design and detail luxury spaces in a buildable way.
